Door to door with Dawsonrentals
Dawsonrentals bus and coach, the UK’s leading bus and coach hire and leasing company, are pleased to announce their recent agreement with Airlinks Airport Services. Dawsonrentals will supply Airlinks (who are a National Express Group subsidiary) with twelve new Mercedes Benz Citaro low floor citybuses.
The vehicles, supplied by Evobus, are being used to upgrade the current airside operation at Gatwick Airport, transporting passengers from terminal to aircraft in areas where air bridges are impractical. This contract follows a recent supply of 13 vehicles on a medium term hire, to provide a temporary shuttle service whilst the Inter-Terminal monorail service undergoes refurbishment and we are all delighted that they have chosen the Citaro yet again.
National Express and Dawsonrentals have a long-standing relationship, built on mutual trust and support and we were happy to provide a tailored solution to match the needs of Airlinks and the BAA contract upon which they operate. The buses were purpose built and are fully equipped with air-conditioning, CCTV and real time passenger information systems.
Evobus commented "All of us at EvoBus (UK) are delighted that Dawsonrentals and National Express have chosen the Citaro for such a high profile contract. The Citaro is Europe's biggest selling citybus and these vehicles show that the design is sufficiently flexible to take what is an already highly specified vehicle and customise it to meet the expectations of a customer whose sights are set on providing the highest quality of service."
